Prosciutto di San Daniele

Prosciutto di San Daniele is an Italian excellence recognized by the European Union as a product with a Protected Designation of Origin, as well as the result of a long tradition linked to the place of origin, San Daniele del Friuli. Its unique and unrepeatable characteristics are in fact due to the particular environment in which it is born, where it benefits fron an ideal microclimate that allows to perfectly preserve the meat using only sea salt, without adding additives or preservatives. Its balanced taste is the result of the expert hands of a few master prosciutto makers who, through ancient knowledge and rigorous rules, transform meat and salt into a masterpiece of taste and delicacy.

Montasio cheese

Montasio, the only PDO in the dairy sector in Friuli Venezia Giulia, is a cheese born on the Montasio plateau, in the Julian Alps. It is a unique cheese, which offers moments not only of taste, but also of well-being. The four seasonings of consumption - fresh, medium (mezzano), seasoned or extra-aged (stravecchio) - give it extraordinary nuances of flavor to satisfy every taste. The absence of lactose, on the other hand, makes it highly digestible and ideal at any time of the day, from brunch to a snack in the office or family lunch to an aperitif and dinner.

Friuli Venezia Giulia White Wines

Friuli Venezia Giulia offers native and international wines distributed on nine DOC and three DOCG: a total of about 20,000 hectares of vineyards from the plain to the rocky plateau of the Carso and the hilly areas of the Colli Orientali up to the Collio. Renowned all over the world for their peculiarities and quality, the white grape varieties represent over 80% of the production: among the white wines we find Pinot Grigio, Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, Malvasia, Vitovska, Picolit and Ramandolo. Over the years, however, red wines are also receiving increasing attention, including Refosco dal peduncolo rosso, Schioppettino and Pignolo.

Prosecco DOC: Italian Genio

Prosecco DOC is an Italian excellence and expression of a strongly identified territory. On the 17th of July 2009 it was recognized as a Denominazione d'Origine Controllata wine. On the 19th of November of the same year the Consortium for the Protection of Prosecco was established, as it was understood the importance of preserving the image and the production of this "Italian sparkling wine". Prosecco has a long tradition in these territories and its origins date back to the times of the Roman Empire.

The production area of Prosecco DOC is located in the north-eastern area of Italy, more precisely in the territories of five provinces of Veneto and four of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste and Udine).

In 2009 Prosecco received its consecration and became an internationally protected denomination of origin to guarantee its quality and protect consumers from imitations. In 2015 it became the first sparkling wine dop in the world in terms of quantity produced and volumes exported: an important result for a relatively young denomination. Prosecco summed up in numbers: 24,450 hectares of vineyards, 11,609 wineries, 1,169 winemakers and 347 sparkling wine producers for a total production of 500 million bottles and a turnover of 2.4 billion euros (data from 2020). The Consortium protects and promotes the uniqueness of this wine, a flagship in the world of Italian style.
