The time limit to finish the marathon is 6 hours.
Just behind the last competitors, there will be a technical commission comprising Officials that will evaluate the effective closure of the route based on the situation of the last participants. Athletes who do not respect the passage times at the gates will be invited by the staff to retire or continue running aside and not on the central part of road, in compliance with Italian Code, in order to protect their safety.
In accordance with World Athletics/FIDAL regulations, there will be refreshment/aid stations at the finish line and along the route, approx. every 5 kilometers. Water and supplements, will be available at the refreshment points.
Based on Covid19 restrictions there will be no sponges.
Based on current World Athletics/FIDAL rules linked to covid19 emergency, pacers and/or race assistants are not allowed.
We are sure that this will not happen to you but… athletes with an injury or who want to leave the race can get to closer collection point (all Refreshment Stations). From there they will be transported to the finish area. Athletes who are able to walk can reach the nearest collection point. An adequate medical assistance service is guaranteed along the route, with fixed stations and vehicles following the race.
After the finish line, athletes will be directed into special corridors to receive the finisher’s medal, access to the final refreshment and various services (due to Covid-19 rules massages service, showers, dressing rooms will not be provided).
